South Shore Harbor Repairs

 
C.E.C., Inc. was contracted to oversee and develop solutions for the South Shore Harbor in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Our in-house team of designers created and implemented systems to help rehabilitate the area. Work performed for this project included:

  • Pier, promenade, and parking area distribution systems for electrical services, potable water, fire protection, communications, and facility lighting and signage
  • Marina pier and harbor structural elements including: timber mooring and stabilization piles, timber finger pier and central pier support piles, timber and concrete pile caps, joists and decking, concrete deck panels, spalled concrete surfaces, fiberglass utility grating panels, and ladder and ramp structures
  • Marina pier appurtenances including slip utility service pedestals, dock boxes, cleats, fender boards, trash receptacles, identification signage, and painted pier markings
  • Promenade and parking area structural elements including concrete and steel bollards, light stanchions, fabricated handrails, fire hydrants, decorative fencing, gates and gate operating systems, storm water drainage components, decorative concrete pavement, small support slabs, concrete curbs, spalled concrete surfaces, asphalt pavement, and painted markings and surface coatings
  • Promenade and paring area appurtenances including trash receptacles and park benches
